Could you tell me why you need this patch?
It was discussed to use this board as reference. In that case, we should align
DTB naming between upstream U-boot and kernel, like upstream does. That's
important for distro boot, which we do with Isar/Debian. Otherwise, our CIP core
layer will have to carry this patch against the CIP kernel - well...
Thanks for the explanation.

I thought that this fix was necessary as a reference board for CIP.
However, because we don't know the reason from commit message,
Could you add brief explanation to commit message, and resend?

Rename DT source for DE0 Nano SoC . The board name is really DE0-Nano-SoC
or Atlas SoC, and it is not to be confused with SoCkit board, which is a
different one. Rename the DT source file to match the board name and to
avoid this possible mixup with another different board.

CIP kernel merging schedule

Nobuhiro Iwamatsu <nobuhiro.iwamatsu@...>

Hi, all.

About the release of the CIP kernel, I am planning to do the following.

for 4.4:
Currently, the kernel based on 4.4.154 is committed to the repository.
I plan to release it as kernel 4.4.166-cip29 which merged 4.4.166 into
current version this weekend.

for 4.19:
I am planning to release a CIP kernel based on 4.19 in January next
year. If you already have a patch, please create a patch for the current
latest 4.19.8. I will update linux-4.19.y-cip branch to 4.19.8 soon.
And I also update cip-kernel-config for 4.19.x.

What do you think about this?

Best regards,
Nobuhiro

  • [PATCH] common: improve initialization and add more packages

    Daniel Sangorrin <daniel.sangorrin@...>

such as testing. Add a few utils and prepare a custome
    init script

Updates to CIP Core reference images

    Daniel Sangorrin <daniel.sangorrin@...>

    To CIP core users:

I have added more functionality to the standard CIP core reference images and their SDK. Please, check the details in the patch.

[PATCH] common: improve initialization and add more packages

For CIP testers, one important change is that now the prompt is "cip-project" instead of "cip". I hope that makes it easier for LAVA to recognize the prompt during boot.

The SDK is known to cause exception faults on Ubuntu 16.04 (it looks like a problem with libc), but it should work on Debian Jessie and Debian Buster.

I have added a preliminar list of default packages, but we still need to discuss what packages do we want to support in the Tiny profile.

    Best regards,
    Daniel

webview: Abbreviate link text for references

We don't have any description of what each reference is specifically
about, so currently we use the URL as the link text. This can be
      quite hard to read.

Generally the most significant parts of the URL are at the beginning
(hostname) and end (query part or last path part). Add a "urlabbrev"
filter that drops the scheme and replaces any other insignificant
part with an ellipsis. Use it in the issue template.
